What is two-factor authentication?

Two-factor authentication or 2FA is a process where you need something you know and something you have to log in. This property makes it far more secure than classic passwords. The process is similar to withdrawing money from an ATM. You must use your ATM card and enter your PIN to actually withdraw money. The same concept is applied here. You need a DIGIPASS (something you have) and a password (something you know) to log in.
